My Passion for Competitions
It all started on the day I met the people who became my teammates whom I consider to be the best so far. My teammates and I, though still young and have not yet taken any marketing subjects, joined a marketing competition. Very spirited, we strived to do extensive research and squeezed our minds out to bring out the creative juices in us. We had hassle days of visiting different government agencies, long meeting hours during breaks and sleepless nights doing our output for the said competition. Many times we had to sacrifice our time for our academics just for this and skip fun and enjoyable break times with our circle of friends. Though stressful as it may sound, the whole experience was all worth it.
The experience and training I got from that competition was incomparable to any other classroom experience. The bond formed in our team and the learning I got from my teammates was the best. We may not have won first place but as the third placer, we are still winners for the overwhelming experience, training and bond we, as a team, got from the competition. It was an experience worthy of becoming a good memory that I would always love to go back to. I would love to have an almost similar experience and this I believe I may experience in ASVF 2012.
My team, as I said, was the best for me so far. They allowed me to experience working in a team that motivates each other to achieve a unified goal. This, I want to experience again. Perhaps, the experience of being part of the next ASVF team will allow me to.
Given the chance, it would be a lot more challenging for I will have to create a bond to a new set of people. But I believe it would not be so hard for all the participants would share something in common to us. I also believe that the experience of being part of ASVF 2012 would be a lot more fun and exciting for it would be a competition among Asian countries. It would be another enriching learning experience for I will have the chance to hear the ideas of the youth of our neighboring countries. It would also be a venue for me to interact with different nationalities which I always wanted. I want to experience first-hand the culture of other nationalities and as well as share our very own culture to others.
Moreover, it is a business competition that I believe would again allow me to think out of the box and squeeze my mind out. This kind of experience is what makes me eager to be in search for knowledge and I know I will put my heart into. I don't mind going through hardships and difficulties along the way as long as in the end I would gain knowledge, friends, experience and fulfillment. I am really hoping for what is best and whatever it would be, I would not stop giving my best.
