my life is amazing and yours isnt so suck it.

I am a sister and one of my little brothers has autism. I know people may think their jokes and the little things they say regarding to autism or any other disability may be harmless but, honestly, it's not. I love my brother and I would never change anything about him but it's hard sometimes, like the times he hits himself when he is so mad and he doesn't know what to do with his anger, or the times he bites me because he doesn't know how to articulate his words to get my attention. It's hard, yes, but my family and I cope with it because with love him with all our hearts and we want to protect him so that is why I made this. I am very offended by things like this poster. It may seem a little absurd for me to write all of this in regards to one simple little that not many people will see but I felt the need to voice my opinion. If you were dealing with a disability you wouldn't want people making jokes about it and making fun of you so why would you do it to people with Autism or Down Syndrome or any neurological, physical, or learning disability. Just remember this next time you are about to call someone retard or you say or make anything remotely similar to this. Please just don't do it. It's not fair to joke about.
