My Life as a Life-Size Barbie Doll.

The time has come where my deepest, darkest secret must be revealed. I, Ashley Alexandria Hewitt, am a life-size Barbie doll. Indeed it's true! I am not made in china, or perfect all around, nor am I made out of plastic. I am still a pint sized mannequin. So allow me to explain.

Envision, if you will, a toy store with many other appliances such as board games, electronics, and lots of happy children screaming and running around. Christmas time is right around the corner and almost every little girl wants a new Barbie doll to be their best friend. When visualizing a Barbie doll, you think of an outgoing, trendsetting, beautiful, happy, friendly, plastic and all--around perfect doll. Some people think that a Barbie is a conceited doll because of its beauty, but like they say "You can't judge a book by its cover." It was designed to bring happiness and joy into a child's life. Some kids are inspired to be like someone you can bring everywhere, and shall share all your secrets with. But no one thinks about the process of making a Barbie doll. From burning plastic and forming it into a human figure, adding hair, make-up, and putting on clothes, to being packaged and shipped out to stores, a Barbie tends to be a lonely object until it attracts someone's eyes and gets to go home with that lucky individual.

Growing up in a household as an only Barbie tends to get lonely. Having no one to talk to at night, fight with, or even sharing my secrets with, I too yearn for someone to share these similarities with. As I walk in the hallway of my house alone, I feel that I am still in my plastic toy box. Being isolated from the real world, and not getting any attention from anyone when I needed it. As I got older I realized that a Barbie was made alone and is still confident.

Playing dress-up, having slumber parties, and going shopping are what I love to do the most.

I too am outgoing, trendsetting, beautiful, happy and friendly, just because I'm not plastic doesn't mean I am not a Barbie Doll.
