My Engineering
Essay by Kill009 • September 12, 2011 • Essay • 393 Words (2 Pages) • 1,565 Views
My Engineering degree has given a strong foundation to my analytical skills since Industrial Engineering involves a lot of complex and intricate calculations with the application of math and optimization tools. My perseverance, my pursuit of excellence, and my readiness to challenge my ultimate limit have enabled me to achieve self-transcendence time. Whether in Working for Aramex International, UTi Worldwide or The Sultan Center (arguably the best place to work and apply Industrial Engineering tools in the Middle East). I have achieved every success through strong willpower and persistence. It has been these experiences that have shaped the person that I am today.
While the study and research in management is my prime objective today, my interests in Arabian literature, music, travel and nature help me maintain a sense of perspective in life. I have organized and participated in a number of extra-curricular activities during my college days and have won university and national level prizes in writing. I also believe that each of us must give something back to society - to this end, I have worked on a voluntary basis with the Ruawad Project for 2 years; as a teacher and counselor; and as a reader to blind students. Today, I contribute to a local organization that focuses on the environment of my hometown, Amman.
