When defining what multicultural psychology is we must first look at the words that make up the topic. Multicultural means multiple ways of knowing things or multiple worldviews. That being said, Multicultural psychology is the learning of the things dealing with aspects of multiple cultures in a solitary social framework regarding human being behavior (Hall & Barongan, 2002). The guess pertaining to traditional psychology is that theories and research are generalized; the hypothesis in Multicultural psychology is that there are equal universal and culture-specific phenomena, with an importance on the latter.

Psychology, in the past, has been sluggish to secure the information regarding multicultural protocol especially regarding diversity in America. In times of yore, cross cultural psychology has been the principal part of psychology when civilization is examined. The cross cultural loom classically goes over two nationwide groups with the aim of not getting into the same social context. New multicultural issues began to come out in culture; the field of multicultural psychology started to materialize. Multicultural psychology consists of learning numerous cultural bases within groups based on a matching situation. Some cultural group's mimic each other based on what time they are in the equivalent sociocultural context; potency of this type of authority can be chiefly needy taking place with the supremacy and position cultural groups include within the world. Every single one of the cultural groups talked about in the textbook has cultural minority class. That being said, multicultural psychology can be the lessons and not simply of culture, moreover of the socio-political things some cultural minority people see and live within the USA. According to the author, since multicultural problems came about in society the vigor of multicultural psychology began to surface including minority and culture issues.
