After viewing the movie "Seven" written by Andrew Kevin Walker, I found three cricial elements. The first element is murder mystery. Iit takes the audience through a chase of a phycotic serial killer. It keeps the viewer guessing and on the edge of their seats. The mystery revovlers around actors Morgan Freeman and Bard Pitt, who play detective in a modern rainy city. The mystery begins with Somerset, who is Morgan Freeman's character is tasked in investegating the murder of a highley obese man, who was killed in his apartment. They find that the man had been dead for quit some time. He was force fed spegettti until his stomoach was kicked open. At the same time Dective Mills, who is Brad Pitts character is sent to investegate the murder of a big time city lawyer. He finds defense attorney Eli Gauld murderd in cold blood on the floor. Gauld was suposedly forced to carve a pound of flesh out of him self, and bled to death. The mystery picks up pace as the story continues.

Another element in Walker's "Seven" is phycotic killer. The movies mystery revolvers around murders commited by a truley phycotic indevidual. This daranged character is played by Kevin Spacey. He is obbsessed with brining sinners to justice. Who goes around killing people based on the seven sins found in the Bible. One by one he brutally takes the lives of his victims. Each one murderd in a certain way, partaining to the sin which they commited. Spacey leads the two dedectives on a harrowing chase through out the movie. The extreamley graphic nature of the murder scenes tell the story of truley how phycotic the killer is.

The third element in the movie "Seven" is the seven deadley sins. These sins are the most serious vices according the Catholosism. They include Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Pride Envy and Wrath. These sins are used as the bases for why the killer targets the people he does. Each is according to the phyco, guilty of the sin for which they are killed. As the killer mutilates his victims he writes the sin they were killed for somewhere in the crime scene. For example, when the ovverly obese man is killed, the killer writes gluttony on the wall behind his refrigerater. This lets the detectives know the motive of the murder.

Form

The genre Walker uses to express his ideas is an action packed movie. Which is both a mystery and a thriller. The primary audience for this movie would be mature audiences around the globe who enjoy a good thriller. The secondary audience for this film would be anyone who is interested in good motion pictures and enjoy murder mystery. As examples/evidence, Andrew Kevin Walker uses a realistic set. He details each crime scene as to make it as close to real crime scenes as possible. He also goes to great lengths to assure that the autopsy scenes are as accurate as they can be. His tone changes throughout the movie as he tells different parts of the story. It is at times very serious and at times calm and focused. As well as being urgent and paniced when it needs to be. The audience is left guessing and wondering through out the movie, as they hang on the edge of their seats.
