Faithful to the call of the spiritual mission of the Religious Sisters of Mercy, the Mother of Mercy Hospital is a witness to the congregation's response to serve.

Situated at the heart of the Benigno Aquino Avenue, Tacloban City, The Mother of Mercy Hospital is a non-stock tertiary level general hospital, owned and administered by the Religious Sisters of Mercy of the Roman Catholic Church. It is an avenue for compassionate and professional health care responding to the needs of the people of God in Tacloban City and nearby areas in the province of Leyte and the Eastern Visayas Region in the Philippines with a special program for the indigent poor.

The Mother of Mercy Hospital provides excellence through service and seeks to promote, preserve, and restore health through a comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care in the course of an extensive emergency, inpatient and outpatient healthcare services.

To provide the health sciences students of the Holy Infant College the needed base hospital in response to the perceived needs such as independent policies inherent to the charism of the RSM Congregation, the Mother of Mercy Hospital is a facility which offers the students the training and formation of health care professionals anchored in the Christian values of selfless service in line with the health care ministry of the Religious Sisters of Mercy.

As healthcare continues to evolve into a competitive, information-rich industry, the Mother of Mercy Hospital has maximized the benefits of technology through significant investments in technological resources and state-of-the-art facilities and equipment enabling the clinicians to improve the quality, productivity and safety of care delivery processes.

Primary services include emergency, medical, surgical, obstetric, pediatrics, and intensive care for both adults and neonates. Outpatient services provided at the hospital include diagnostic and therapeutic care through the 24-hour ambulance, radiology, ultrasonography, 16-slice CT-Scan, clinical laboratory, pharmacy and in-house consultations.
