Most Successful Team - Personal Essay

The most successful team I have been was when I was in Scout. Our team leader was very experienced and most importantly he knew what is the strength of our team. He always brought enthusiasm in the team and inspired us to be leader like him which I did eventually. He had delegated the responsibilities according to the capabilities of the members. We knew what our objectives were. We use to motivate and also help our team members even though it was not our responsibility. There was a very friendly communication environment. Although there was always a time limitation, we use to manage time in a flexible manner in case of unexpected situations.
One of the worst team I have ever been was when I was an intern in Business and Project Development Department. CEO of the company was our team leader. He used to tell what our targets were in a brief and that would be yet. We were not able to communicate properly due to time management issues. For me there were lots of things to do which were not even related to project at times. And the team was not able to perform very well. I had to prepare questioners, go for research in the field, write a report, design a plan to implement the project and then implement it all by myself. I even had to design logos for the company and also help to design a webpage for the company. These things were to be done in very limited time. And worst of all there were no incentives at all. I had to bear the cost from my own pocket.
So I think the most important factors for a successful team are good communication environment, deligation of responsibilities and time management

This is a very complex topic and simple at the same time. There is always freedom to choose for humans because of the consciousness. But freedom to choose cannot be always an option. In a situation like do or die, the only option to choose is to do which eliminates the option die. If a person is very hungry to death he will get some food to eat by hook or crook. He cannot choose to be hungry anymore. He can choose how he can acquire the food. It can be bad way or the better way. He can work for food and beg for it. And if he does not get it then there is no option for him to choose stealing. This behavior is the function of his decision but the conditions has influenced his decision.
Proactive can help people to become successful. Which means people can be happy with the habit of proactive. But in case of some people they only limit themselves to reactions. For example, Contingency approach. In case of contingency approach of management we mostly focus on what we will be doing in case of predicted situations. And many organizations has become successful because of this as well.
While reading Principles of Personal Vision I felt very bad about myself. I know what my problem is and yet I find myself reluctant to overcome it. My problem is time management. I always want to get start my assessments as soon as they are assigned but I cannot get it start until the last moment. This is the repeating problem that I have. I always wanted to be a proactive person but I have found myself reluctant. I make a commitment and normally find myself not keeping it.
