If I were to create a business I would create Dinger Incorporation. Dingers Incorporation would become known as Dink. Dink is a corporation that involves selling bats, gloves, batting gloves, and clothing apparel. After around 10 years when the business is up and running I would make my own baseball park and host indoor and outdoor baseball tournaments all year round.
The main object that I am going to sell is the baseball bats and gloves. I want to make a product that kids will always want to use out on the baseball field. The bats are going to be made for every type of kid. We will make small barrel, one piece, two-piece, and big barrel bats. This will give the kids a variety of options on what they would want to use. All of the equipment will come with a 30-day warranty just in case the players do not like what they are using. The gloves that will be sold are for any type of position. You will be able to create your gloves so you are making exactly what you want. The clothing apparel will consist of clothes that you can wear on and off the field. We will sell anything from tight fitted shirts to something you could wear to a business meeting. I want not just athletes to buy and wear this. Promoting Dink will not be a hard task because my co-workers and I will go to different baseball tournaments throughout the summer and set up a tent. We will sell everything under the tent and let kids demo the bats and gloves before they buy them. When kids see other kids preforming well with Dink they will want to buy our product. What parent would not buy their kid a new bat? The prices will very upon your age. For the younger kids they will typically spend less than the older kids. All bats that are anything under a -5 will be sold for $200. Any bats that are over a -5 will be sold for $300. This is the price you will pay for any other bat out on the market. The fielding gloves will also vary like the bats. Pitching gloves will be sold for $150, Outfield gloves will be sold for $200, and infield gloves will be sold for $225. If you decide to customize your glove you will pay up to $250 depending on what you put on your glove. To get your name or number on your glove will also cost you an extra $15. The clothing will vary in price. Younger smaller kids will tend to pay less than adults will with the clothing. The sweats will vary from 30-60 dollars. The shirts will be 10-40 dollars depending on the material. The sweatshirts will tend to be around 50-100 dollars. Our batting gloves for younger kids will be sold for around 15-25 dollars. For older kids the price of batting gloves will vary from 20-50 dollars. Our business is going to be located down in Florida. The reason I want to locate Dink in Florida is because it is warm all year round and there is year round baseball down there. Year round baseball will help get our name out because kids from all over play in Florida year round.
