You can train to be a manager but everyone has their own style and this has an impact on the team's motivation.
There have been many great leaders; some names that come to mind are Barack Obama, Queen Elizabeth II, Adolf Hitler, Idi Amin and Winston Churchill. Some of these leaders have been made, some have been born with passionate beliefs and others have been born into the role of leader. Below is a more in-depth look at Barack Obama and Adolf Hitler.
Barack Obama's parents divorced when he was 3 years old, he initially lived with his mother and didn't see his father again until he was 10 years old. After his mother remarried and moved the family to another country Barack returned home at the age of 10 and lived with his grandparents. His parents and grandparents all had good jobs. His mother was an anthropologist, his father a senior governmental economist, his grandfather was in the army and his grandmother was vice president of a bank. Although Barack saw his parents' divorce, moved countries and schools several times throughout his adolescent life, he was surrounded by well educated people who had good careers, some in high powered positions. People often do well in life because of who they know, not what they know.
Adolf Hitler rebelled against his father and school. He had a passion for art but was rejected on more than one occasion by an art school. At the age of 25 he joined the army; 5 years later he was appointed to a role where he was required to influence other soldiers. He then went on to be a member of a nationalist party, where he won over the beliefs and views of other members. Adolf Hitler was very passionate and influential; he was ultimately responsible for the start of World War II and his beliefs and actions resulted in millions of people being executed.
Barack Obama and Adolf Hitler were two very different people with very different views and passions but were both in very similar positions of authority.
