First of all I want to mention that I really liked the guest presentation. In my opinion Care management plays a significant role, especially at the present time, when business is going so fast and the process of adaptation is getting harder and harder. Based on my experiences which I collected in my company, I am easily able to talk about security management in general. But before I start to talk about the general issues I just want to introduce my company and give a little example about our Security management.
I am working in the BASF SE Chemical Company which is the biggest chemical company in the world. Security management is the paramount aim within the company. BASF's Responsible Care Management System comprises the global rules, standards and procedures for environmental protection, safety and security. It assess risks in areas ranging from research and production to logistics, and how these could affect the safety and security of our employees, the environment or the surrounding community. Collecting and evaluating incident data on a global basis helps to systematically learn from mistakes and accumulate knowledge gained through experience.
With the global safety initiative, it fosters and encourage awareness of safety and security in the workplace and safe practices for every individual. The regular audits (in my case every Monday) help ensure uniformly high standards within the BASF Group for environmental protection, safety, security and health protection.
After this short indtroduction and example in security management within my company I'd like to focus on the gerneral part of the essay.

These risks can be all identified in different places in a business and can take place anytime and in anyplace (Technical deparment but also commercial departments etc.).
Therefore Businesses have to try and prevent any health hazards at the work place. They have to make sure that the business is able to trade without there being any accidents or injuries to there employees or the general public. The way in which a business can prevent these hazards and risks is by having health and safety policies. This point leads me to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). With the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, Congress created the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to assure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance. The Occupational Safety and Health Act allows OSHA to issue workplace health and safety regulations. These regulations include limits on chemical exposure, employee access to information, requirements for the use of personal protective
