ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the performance of the Practice choice’s when integrated with Medisoft, Lytec and AZCOMP This article also gives advantages and disadvantages of the McKesson’s practice choice software.

McKesson Practice choice is an online ONC-TCB and compliant with the stage 1 meaningful use. It is a practice Management and EHR solution which was designed and launched by the McKesson corporation in California in the year 1943. It assists the healthcare employees’ and plays a major role in enhancing the health of the patients by providing the quality care, personal health management and minimizing the burden of the healthcare expenses. It performs several functions such as, electronic prescribing, integration of the patient laboratory results, patient document management.
McKesson works with the healthcare organization irrespective of its type and guides the healthcare organizations to manage their expenses and identify new ways to improve the productivity of the organization and simultaneously focuses on the development in the quality. McKesson Practice choice is the source for the healthcare organization which provides all the resources such as, technology which enables them to work more effectively. Apart from improving the quality and reducing the organization’s expenses, it also helps the organization by creating a way to improve the organization’s network and make it even more smarter and thereby widening the access and minimize the waste. It creates a platform where the customers can easily have access to the information. This software also helps the healthcare provider by keeping track of the appointments.
Mission and Goal:
The mission of the McKesson Practice choice is, “Together with our customers and partners, we are creating a sustainable future for health care. Together we are charting a course to better health”. The main aim of the McKesson Practice choice is to assist the smaller or the medium scale health care organizations to overcome the day to day issues which cannot the IT staff. Apart from managing the patients’ medical records it also performs few major functions such as, managing the cash flow in the organization and improving the interaction between the patients.

In 2016 McKesson Practice choice has been acquired by the e-MDs which is one of the leading provider of the ambulatory EMR, practice management software, Credentialing services and revenue cycle management. In addition to the Practice choice e-MDs also bought several other assets such as, Medisoft, Medisoft clinical, Lytec, Lytec MD, and Practice Partner.
Many of the customers and the healthcare providers believe that the e-MDs would make the Practice Choice even more better by integrating it with the other new resources and technologies.

About Lytec:
Lytec is an ANSI 5010 compliant, powerful practice management tool which enables the user with functions such as managing the schedules, billing and income of the healthcare organization. The latest version of this software is equipped with the necessary tools such as managing the patient accounting, claiming and tracking the insurance and various tasks in the organization (systems, 2017).
Lytec medical software is available to the users in two versions.
- A stand-alone network version and
- Cloud-based version

The cloud-based EMR comprises of the functions such as, electronic prescribing, patient portal and the integration of the laboratory results which doesn’t require to shift from the Lytec proven practice management capabilities. This would ultimately help in getting certified by the Meaningful Use
Strengths of the Practice Choice integrated with Lytec:
Consistency in Integration: By synchronizing with the already existing Lytec, McKesson Practice choice for Lytec will make the process of creating the patient chart, creates an electronic prescription account and a patient portal account for the patient who already hold an account in Lytec database. After completing the patient chart, the billing information will be automatically transferred to the Lytec practice management system.
