McDonald's is the world's largest chain of fast food restaurants, serving 68million customers generating the revenue of $21.5864 billion USD (2006). It was founded on May 15, 1940 in San Bernardino, California by Richard and Maurice McDonald. McDonalds Corporation is famous for its hamburgers, cheese burgers, French fries, breakfast items, milk shakes and desserts. The goal of McDonalds is not only to provide quality food but it is aiming to be the world's best quick service restaurant. McDonalds (2010-2012). Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the compulsion of institution's management to make decisions and act in such a way that it should augment the welfare and interests of society as well as the organization.
McDonalds, as a part of its effort to be more socially responsible, donates a part of its profit to corporate humanitarianism. As the article of Gregerson, (2011) shows that Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis, Creve Couer, Mo provides housing facilities for poor children giving them all the basic necessities which are needed to live a life including a great room, playroom and reading rooms. This Ronald McDonald House is the $4.2-million project and 300th Ronald McDonald House in the world. Furthermore, it is quite evident from the article of Brock and Ed (2009) that there are colossal donations coming to this project of McDonalds from renowned corporations of the world for instance An E3 Series Expandable Emergency Evacuation System was donated to RMHC by Prestige Alarm and Specialty Products Inc. So by taking into consideration its help of community McDonalds is playing a magnificent role.
