Currently, the media play an important role in society. Certainly, we can say that the rise of technology makes to enter into the information society. The implementation of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in social cultural and economic conditions.
This is changing the original forms of communication and media as we have known it. The media have a great influence on the various societies of the world.
The print press, online press, television, internet, social networks ... are some of the current media that influence the consumer.
This is why these media are often responsible for transmitting the events of interest to the public. Sport is one of the main interests of society, and is truly a mass phenomenon in the world.
The sport moves millions of people since antiquity. And now not only develops regional or national level, but the sport has acquired an international character. That's why the fan (either anywhere in the world) may be envisioning the same event than any other fan on the other side of the world. This makes the sport that much more international, affecting the sports management of events.
So are new mass media, such as print, radio, television and Internet aimed at a large number of sports fans? This means that the same message can reach millions of people around the world.
Internet is one of the newest mass media. Possibly, this is the medium that transmits information fastest to the public. With the emergence of new social networks, users can access any type of information instantly.
The sport is closely related to the mass media. It is one of the main attractions of a society, and therefore, the sport is of interest. The media occupy a great deal of information to the consumer in making sports news. With the advent of internet, the globalization of media has grown. A user can be informed of everything, just to look online.
