In today's society I believe that a confined marriage still does exist. There are still many married people who are hoping that one of these days they can have freedom and start their own lives.Today, I can say that both the wife and husband has the equal rights to provide the family needs and follow what they think is right. The wife today can now think for her and have freedom even though she's in a marriage life but there are still those wives who are afraid to speak out and are waiting for that day to be free for what they think is a prison like marriage. Kate Chopin may have right the story in the 18th century but its theme and view about marriage is still significant until this point in time.Every girl dreams of a happily ever after, a perfect wedding, a perfect marriage since they was still a child; Picturing their selves in a white dress and seeing their future husband at the end of the aisle. Marriage for me is about sharing your love to another person or a union to someone you have a mutual feeling with. During 18th- 19th century when a couple gets married normally the husband is the one taking all the responsibilities in terms of working and providing the basic needs of the family, while the wife stays at home taking care of the children and just doing all the household works; in short woman those days are not liberated.
