The world today is worried all of a sudden on become "green" so to speak. All of this green talk was never discussed during the industrial revolution came about. Now that we have all of the technological advancements of today though everyone have these new ideas of things that could help the environment. Things like the reusable water bottle, canvas shopping bags, and low and behold the electric car. The one thing though that is not really discussed that much anymore is the use of solar power; but this is the idea that I would like to pitch to you Briggs and Stratton. With your sales ending in over two million last year in 2012 we want to position you with the idea of becoming the first innate the first all solar powered lawn mower.(Briggs and Stratton, 2013)

Now it is known that according to the EPA lawnmowers produce high levels of carbon monoxide. (EPA.gov, 2012) It also produces as much pollutants during use for one hour as driving a car for forty five minute does. (EPA.gov, 2012) "580,000,000 gallons of gasoline are used for lawnmowers", (EPA.gov, 2012). As we can see the list can go on and on of what the traditional lawnmower that is sold by your company can do for the environment. This way is a way for the corporation to give back to the environment and make money doing it.

The solar panels that would be installed would produce 180 watts. This would be enough to turn a blade and cut grass. At the same time the thought of what if it is cloudy comes to mind also. This solar panel would provide enough electric current to allow for a battery to charge for those cloudy days. This solar panel lawnmower would improve your standings with much of your present consumers. The kicker to all of this is that you are offering something that none of the other corporations like, HUSQVARNA, is offering a fully operational solar panel unit that does not need to be plugged in to an outlet to run just sun. With this design and the Briggs and Stratton Corporation it could take the corporation to the next level of "green". Thank you for your time and consideration. Look forward to hearing from you in the future.
