Amounts of waste can be determined by two things: size and population of the city or in a particular area and their consumption patterns, which is controlled by Gross Domestic Product Per Capita.
Political and Legal Factors:-
The laws and regulations are controlled by Federal Legislations, State Legislations and Municipal Legislations in NY.
Environmental Protection Agency regulates municipal waste, household waste, commercial waste, industrial waste, and hazardous waste under Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
The political and legal environment of the city is more concerned about hazardous waste management and electronic waste management. State enforcement agency of New York plans for waste minimization and zero waste programs and laws for waste management companies. The waste management programs in broader state of mind also consists strict penalties for violation of hazardous waste laws (1). The programs are controlled and regulations are enforced by the state on behalf of federal agency.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency is the federal agency which authorizes DEC to implement programs and laws and also controls the state policies & regulations, issues permits, conducts inspection to the industrial sector. DEC ensures the environmental protective design, maintaining standards and disposable facilities through Part 373 permits. The facility which has treatment and storage unit receives an operating permit (3). DEC issues the certificates for recycling and treatment facilities to waste management companies.
There are some hazardous waste regulations according to New York State Department of Environmental Conservation which can affect Molok.

(2) Part 373.1 - Hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal permitting requirement
(3) Part 373.2 - Standards for owners and operators of waste treatment, storage and disposal.
(4) Part 373.3 - Provisional standards for owners and operators of waste facilities.
(5) Part 373.4 - Standards regarding facilities of collection of household waste.
(6) Part 376 - land disposal restrictions and treatment standards (2).
The NYSEC law states that anyone engaged in transportation of the waste that is generated in New York State must have a valid Part 364 Waste Transporter Permit (3).
According to the view of factors affecting business environment relating to waste generation in USA, per persons daily waste generation is 4.40 pounds of which 1.53 pound of waste is composed. Factors like technological factors, socio-cultural factors, and exchange rate factors will not affect majorly to Molok as the state is well developed in those factors.
Market Infrastructure (Logistics):-
The supplies from Finland for raw material of the containers and other material supply can be achieved by using the ports in New York. The Port of New York has a natural advantage of deep water channel logistics from the Atlantic Ocean and is also known as the most important ports in USA. The wastes will be collected from the installed waste containers situated initially in the major cities like New York City, Buffalo, Rochester, and Yonkers every week as they are highly populated regions through the waste transportation vehicles to the landfills or to the recycling units of Molok. The major waste collection will be done from the municipal areas, commercial areas and public areas to the units of recycling department of the company.
Forces Affecting Market:-
* Market Size - The city has 8 million residents, construction projects and millions of business generates thousands of tons of garbage every day (8). According to the 17th nation worldwide survey of municipal solid waste of 2008 in US provides information of waste generated in New York State. According to the survey 16,990,152 tons of Municipal waste was generated of which 3,060,363 tons of waste was recycled and 627,949 tons of waste are composted. The municipal waste of about 1,089,152 tons and 4,814,843 tons was imported and exported respectively. In New York about 219,535,298 tons of capacity is still remaining (5).
* Trends:- Recently in the state, government is trying to reduce and recycle hazardous wastage, medical waste, and electronic waste for which many programs are developed and implemented in different cities of the state. In New York City the disposal of waste is directed towards energy recovery through landfills carbon storage and resource recovery.
