Circuit Board fabricators, Inc. (CBF), is a small business that is stationed in California near San Jose and closer to the boarder. The company deals with Apple and Hewlett-Packard. It is important that CBF understands that in order to deal wtih a very high quality service. The engineers working on the new products are on a very tight scheduleand have very little patience with work that is sloppy or unable to make competion dates. (73)

Circuit boards are a very flat and extremely rigid surface where electronic components are mounted. Electric components such as integrated circuits, resistors, capacitors, and diodes are solered to the boards. Lines that are called "tracers" are connected electronically to the boards. Since the electronic traces cannot cross holes and must go through the circuit board and connect both sides and turn that into only one. These boards are usally desined with at least forty to fifty different components that are connected through several hundred of traces on a small 4x6 inch board. (92 +73 = 165)

CBF has developed a very good business plan that takes several small pieces and puts them into a finished product. They have four standard board sizes and configurations and has automated much of its process for making these standard boards. Fabricating these boards requires CBF to numerically controlled equipment to be programmed. This process is largely automated that works directly from engineering drawings that are formatted using indusrt standard codes. (69+165=234)

The object of this paper is to show future business students how to start a company and understand that you can take a small product and turn it into a muti billion dollar corporation.
