Are people good or evil? From reading Lord of the Files I believe that people are just evil. I say this book represent evil because first of all the children were on the island with no parental control, no laws so the kids can break any law they please it was just out of control. They didn't have the proper tools such as a place to live and well made meals how possible are they going to survive. The children somehow did get rescued; consequently some didn't make it out because some got killed by each other and some got killed in a natural disaster. This goes to show that people are evil because this book not only have children killing each other but has no type of smtpthay towards each other.

In the book there was a child who had no name died in a fire that occurs while on the island. This goes to show that while on the island some kids didn't have a chance for survive. Children like Simon and Piggy had no chance on the island. They were always getting pick on because piggy was smart and he was big Simon was the kid who care for everyone and loves nature. I just knew these kids were not going to make it.

It makes more sense that the book represents society because they all follow each other. Ralph, who's the leader and tries to keep all the kids in check is sometimes overrule by Jack the so call other leader. All of the kids on the island follows what he say and what he do which is not a great idea. He is cruel and sadistic, preoccupied with hunting and killing pigs, which means whoever wants, to hang, has to have a mindset just, like him which is mean. Society plays a big role on the island; for example, toward the end of the book the beast was talking to Simon about how the boys were going to kill him but in way he couldn't understand, but towards the end they killed Simon and Piggy. The kids on the island all wanted to survive so why not listen to the one who makes more sense and if that mean killing each other let's do it. They wanted to kill anybody who they think was going to put them down which was piggy because he was smart and knew what was going.

To conclude all of this the island represents society they all had to survive no matter what the situation was. After reading the book it was heartbreaking because the kids killed each other which are not normal and it made me realize that people are born nice but when times goes on and they meet people who pressure and tells them if we do this than this would happen which is insane but it happens. They also killed out of fear or trying to survive but it's all painful to hear.
