Dear Faith,

There are four avenues that I would like to address in this letter of my hopes and dreams for you. First, I wish I could look into a crystal ball and see that your future is going to be full of happiness but that isn't possible. I do know that you will have good times and bad and that you just need to weather the storm of those troubled days and the happy times will come because it's all part of life, living and learning. I hope we taught you high morals and virtues to help you during the hard times. You are the kindest and most compassionate person I have ever known and I couldn't be more proud of you and the person you have become.

Secondly, my hope for you is that you get a great education and gain a sense of independence. Young people just don't seem to comprehend the power of a higher education. I know you can do anything you put your mind to so aim high. I hope the mural I painted on your bedroom wall in New York resonates in your mind, "Reach for the moon and even if you don't touch the moon, you'll land among the starts."

The third thing to remember is how important it is for you to be able to stand on your own two feet - financially, emotionally and spiritually before you can share your life with another person. Make sure that person is worthy of your love and kindness, don't settle for second best for you deserve to be with someone that will treat you like a queen, someone who makes you feel like you're the most important person in their world like your dad does to me. You have to be equals and work together as a team and he has to be your best friend for life.

Finally the last thing I have to say is actually a request. My hope in life is that all my girls stay close to each other forever and whenever one is in trouble the others will always be close by for them to lean on for help. You need to remember that in life other things may change us, but we start and end with the family - it's the only constant in our life - treasure each other.

Forever in my heart

Love You

Mom
