Leadership is to motivate and inspire others to accomplish things with a common goal in mind. Leadership can be defined in many ways. There are natural born leaders and leaders that have been trained to become leaders. To accomplish great Leadership skills, one must know its strength and weaknesses in order to become a great leader.
People want to be inspired. A leader must have charisma. A Leader must have great communication skills. A great leader would use parables to help them sell or to get the message across. A good leader will show the big picture in order to be sellable so that one might understand how their part fits the big picture. A great leader will know what and how to get a team involved. If a leader comes in dragging with a sad face, he will not have a great audience. If a leader does not portray this characteristic, he must not try to lead. An inspiring leader will be a great example for others. Transformational leaders can produce significant organizational change and results because this form of leadership fosters higher levels of intrinsic motivation, trust, commitment, and loyalty from followers than does transactional leadership. That said, how- ever, it is important to note that transactional leader- ship is an essential prerequisite to effective leadership (Kreitner & Kinicki 2009).
