Jungle Jack Backpacker is the one of service that provide the accommodations to climbers to climb Mount Kinabalu. Jungle Jack Backpacker is located 200 meters from the Mount Kinabalu Park entrance. John Jack Chin is the owner of Jungle Jack Backpacker and known as Uncle Jack. He is local Sabahan which have lodges and already had involves in tourism site in Malaysia almost 30 year from late 80’s. Uncle Jack also had been in Australia and Hong Kong for awhile. First, he started in tourism site with provide breakfast to tourists and climbers who stayed in his lodges. After many years, he expand his business successfully which is build lodges and providing service climb Mount Kinabalu. Now, Jungle Jack is the most accommodations chosen by climbers and tourist. He have many experience in tourism about Mount Kinabalu and provide the best service for backpackers who want to climb the Mount Kinabalu.
Jungle Jack Backpacker suitable for backpackers all around the world to stay at this place before they climb to Mount Kinabalu because Jungle Jack is the ideal location and perfect for the budget backpacker. The backpackers who stay in Uncle Jack’s lodges mostly from Europe and Asian. Jungle Jack offers comfortable facilities such as car park and big dorm accommodations with all food included and unlimited tea and coffee. This place also have shared bathrooms with a hot shower which can warm body from the coolest weather at Ranau. Next, Jungle Jack also surrounded by natural beauty, untouched jungle and a stunning view of of Kinabalu.

The bus from Kota Kinabalu cost about RM 20 per person and take approximately 2 hours and every one hours there are bus back to Kota Kinabalu from Jungle Jack. At Jungle Jack Backpacker, the climbers also can rent a scooter for RM30 including petrol and visit the nearby places such as Poring Hot Springs, local markets and farms. There are many fresh vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes, cabbages and so on. These can found beside all the road in Ranau that sell by local people.
