Jamestown
There were lots of hardships in 1609-1610. People were starving to death; most colonists were not accustomed to hard labor, because the London investors expected a quick profit from their colony. They searched for gold and silver, when they should have been growing food. When I saw John Smith, I was only 12. He was pretty mean, but only because the colony was facing lots of obstacles. But John Smith went back to England with no strong leadership.
Now, everyone believes I married John Smith. To go on with the story, I really married John Rolf. A colonist who learned to grow tobacco using seeds from the West Indies. The first crop was sold in England in 1614. Relations with the Native American improved after John married me. Most things improved, like; farming land, land ownership, etc... Now you'll know more about the truth.
