Is This For Real?

Our species is very unique, especially on this planet. We have the ability to think, create, interact, and decide. This however, also gives us the ability to contradict and be skeptical on what, as humans, know for certain and what we actually think we know about any given subject. There is a vast difference between these two issues. A person can claim to know something and a person can truly know something. The difference between these two is physical proof. This can ultimately be what it comes down to when it comes to fact or fiction to some people.

As a human if I decide that the sky is purple and I tell myself every day that the sky is purple and when I look up I truly believe in my mind that the color that I am looking at is purple, is it not purple? Because I have told myself this and that is what I truly believe does that mean it is not true? Granted maybe I am colorblind and that is why I think that the sky is purple. But if I was to be color blind then wouldn't I of grown up to believe that the color purple, to me, was actually the color blue and not know the difference because that is all that I have known and seen. There can be many arguments made on what humans know for certain and how can they justify that they actually know what they think they know on every subject practically known to man. There are subject like mathematics which is a constant and because numbers and equations are made up by us then they are universally accepted to be fact.
