There are many ways for internal customers or employees to find a new job within the current work environment. Many hospitality industries have third party websites to help look for external customers and new employees. These days' hospitality industries have created a separate link for employees and customers to search for available jobs within the industry. The three different hospitality industries chosen for this paper are from the hotel - Best Western, airline-Delta, and cruise ship-Royal Caribbean. The Organization's business strategies for internal customers/employees
The first of the three hospitality organization's chosen is the Best Western. The hotel's website offers many things for its customers to make reservations. The website allows customers to search for different hotels in different cities and states for the best vacation destination. The websites also highlights some major points like rewards, travel planning, deals, and offers, and how to check for reservations.
Sadly, this hotel websites does not make it obvious to internal customers and employees that the industry has any job openings and looking for the perfect candidate. For internal customers and employees to even hear about available job offers, he or she has to go on the "About Us" link to find the "Career" link and learn about what jobs are available within the organization (Best Western, 2013).
The second hospitality organization's chosen is the American Airlines. This websites allows like any other hospitality website for customers and employees to look through many job offers the organization has to offer. The American Airline website makes it easier for internal employees to look for a job. On the bottom of the homepage the "Career" link is easy to find and employees do not have to click on "About US" to find the Career link like on the Best Western website. The Career link also shows many benefits an employee can receive within the organization like "Health and Life Benefits," "Savings and Retirement," Work/Life Balance," "Career Development" and "Travel" (American Airlines, 2013, p.1). This website also not only highlights the different job openings and what the organization is look for but also employees and customers can do a job search for specific jobs the organization may have available. The website of the American Airlines makes it easier for internal customers and employees to hunt for a new and different job.
The last of the three hospitality organizations chosen is the Royal Caribbean cruise ship. Just like the website of the American Airlines, the Royal Caribbean websites also make it easier for internal customers and employees to find the Career link to search what job are available and what the organization is looking for. This website also makes it easier on customers to find what he or she is looking for. The websites allows customers to receive help on planning a trip on a cruise ship, offers deals, and gifts, and important information of what a cruise is about. This makes it easier for individuals to locate things quickly and without any confusion, not like the Best Western website. The Career website offers two different opportunities for internal customers and employees to find the right job from "Corporate Offices," to "Shipboard Career Opportunities" (Royal Caribbean, 2013, p. 1). The organization also offers Corporate Jobs, Seasonal Jobs, and Internship programs for Students to learn the different aspects of the Royal Caribbean.
