MOVIES (PAST-PRESENT-FUTURE)
Does anyone know how movies were made 100 years ago? There is a big difference between movies then and the movies made now. The first machine created in the United States that showed animated pictures or movies was a device called the "wheel of life" in 1867. Modern motion picture making began with the invention of the motion picture camera. Louis Lumiere is often credited as inventing the first motion picture camera in 1895. But in truth, several others had made similar inventions around the same time. What he invented was a portable motion-picture camera, which the projector called the Cinematographe. The Cinematographe made motion pictures very popular, and it could be better be said that Lumiere's invention began the motion picture era. Even though Cinemetographe had its defects.
However, this was a far cry from motion pictures as we know them today. Movie making technology has drastically improved and grown more complex since the first movie was made around 100 years ago. Today, movies are an immersive audio visual experience that leaves its audience speechless. Most movies boast of surround sound and usually come in hi-definition format, able to deliver quality sound and clear visuals. The use of special effects and computer generated imagery also enables movie makers to bring our very imagination to the screen.
What do we expect from the future of movie making?
Technology moves at break-neck speed, and the technology of movie making is no different. 3D is the future of movie making as many films are not only now being made in 3D, but original 2D movies are being converted. Thanks to movies such as "Avatar" setting the tone with advanced 3D technology, the box office seems to be on fire with countless 3D movies now. 3D technology has certainly come a long way.
Anyway, running down the list of movie releases for this next year and it seems like the whole world is going 3D.
