Immigration a Contribution to America
When America was a young country it depended on immigration for growth and progress. Immigrants came here and worked hard, paid income taxes, learned English, became citizens and participated in the communities in which they lived. They contributed greatly to the growth of the United States of America, and all without the help of welfare, food stamps and section 8 housing. Although, I feel that immigration helps make a better America I do feel that they should be legal immigrants. Based on the fact that illegal immigrants, the ones who sneak here, commit crimes, and use free benefits are large burden on America. America is known as land of the free and the many opportunities that it has to offer. This is why one of the main reason why a majority of immigrants that migrate here from different countries. Immigrants most likely do not speak any form of English. When people immigrate to America they usually tend to go live in places where there more people of their kind or close to them. Some Americans have become obese and completive, that they do not to do outside work. Jobs like construction, landscaping and other work like taxi and bus drivers and working at a local store. Immigrants that come fresh into America can get these jobs because they know Americans refuse to do job like that. Citizens of America are always complaining about illegal immigrants taking away American jobs.
One of the essences of America is that it is the land of second chances. Most certainly, well designed and properly implemented immigration laws will contribute to development of a better America in the future by encouraging right numbers and right types of people into America according to the changing needs of its economy. America or any other country for that matter does not have at all the tomes the right mix of people that it needs for meeting the current needs of its society as well contribute to its development needs. While most acknowledge that the United States is a "nation of immigrants", we normally do not consider how immigration has made the United States a dominant global economy.
