Mock Trial

Our client thinks that Mao Ze Dong's picture should stay up, He thinks this because he was a savior. He helped China become a more sophisticated country. I have a witness here from the Gang of Four. His name is Yao Wenyuan. When he was in the Gang of Four he was obviously a communist. He knew Mao as a friend and also knew one of his wifes, so they were pretty close. He'll show you that Mao was a good man. Some people may say he killed 4 million people, But actually, Mao didn't physically touch any of them, Not even 1. My witness Yao has seen Mao's good and bad days. But says at the end of the day, he's a pretty good guy. You guys might think that Mao's picture should be taken down, But it shouldn't. He's taking them beyond there limits. If we removed Chairman Mao's picture from in front of tiananmen square, We wouldn't really have and representation/picture of him. That's one of the most common places his picture is located. Its basically a landmark, when people think of Tiananmen square they imagine of that picture on top of the entrance.

removing that would be like removing a temple, it would be disrespectful. Mao obviously doesn't want too see his
