Homeless person in our society is still evident today no matter where you go you will always see a homeless person in streets, parks, or under the bridges. Homeless people are discarded, displaced, lonely, and pass his or her time having conversations to on their own. Homeless are rural families without financial means to journey along distance to shelters and other services that can provide support. Reasons why people become homeless are because loss of employment, divorce, domestic violence, long-term illness, and institutional discharge.
In this paper team C will discuss the elements, ethical considerations, and survey design to as why people become homeless. The paper will also conclude the appropriate measures of reliability and validity, explain the rationale how we propose to design and conduct the research while minimizing the bias. The hypothesis as to why people become homeless is "people who lose their jobs are more likely to be homeless than people who do not lose their jobs."
SURVEY DESIGN
The basic survey designs are cross-sectional survey and longitudinal survey. Cross-sectional survey data is being collected at one point in time from a sample selected to represent a large population. Longitudinal survey researchers conduct several observations of the same subject over a period of time. Cross-sectional and longitudinal survey would be the best options to go with because it asks questions of people at one point in time. Residential data retrieved from cross-sectional studies can provide some information for assessing the needs of homeless people at a given point in time, but these data are inherently misleading and imprecise. In order to obtain a representative sample for the proposed research we should require the use of random sampling techniques that avoid bias in the sample. What needs to be considered first is researchers must first identify why people who lose their jobs are more likely to be homeless than people who do not lose their jobs. The first step that needs to be done is collect data on how many individuals are homeless and what the population is African American, Mexican, Veterans, etc. Next the researcher needs to find a way to randomly select people from this population so that he or she can survey these individuals for data.
Conclusion
Homeless are lonely and pass his or her time having conversations own their own in big or small cities in the nation. The purpose of this paper explained the elements, ethical considerations, survey design to as why people become homeless, and why people become homeless is people who lose their jobs are more likely to be homeless than people who do not lose their jobs.
