1. The HRIS position is a vital role in any organization as it helps the HR function become a strategic partner in the organization in several ways as it centralizes core information in databases that accurately and safely store the information. IT is considered as a critical infrastructure in many organizations. The HRIS Manager is indeed a critical job in the HR field. As Human Resources processes and procedures become more automated, organizations need greater specialized technology. Hence there will be a greater need for IT experts to manage these systems; this is when the HRIS rol become a fundamental element to both the organization and the Human resources department/ function. As the HR system becomes more strategic with the introduction of these systems, companies will need higher levels of data in order to streamline the decision-making. HRIS is also emerging as an effective contributor to organizational performance as it manages employees job descriptions, payroll systems, bonuses, performance appraisals, etc.

Traditional Transactional Transformational
Works in Collaboration Payroll and Finance to maintain the online interactive Position Control, Personnel and Payroll database systems. Ensures data integrity in both personnel files and online human resource information system. Ensures security of the HRIS and time and attendance system.
Develops HR dashboards and develops and runs reports both scheduled and ad-hoc. Supervises Human Resources Information management team. Works with business managers and end-users to understand business processes and determine how to use the system to meet those needs.
Organizes and manages personnel file audits to ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines for records management. Partners with Technology Systems Resources to support upgrades, testing and other technical projects.
Updates and administers enhancements to the HR Information system. Collaborates with the Human Resource Technical Consultant and other Human Resource staff on operational issues and special projects.
Updates and maintains system tables. Maintains current knowledge of best practices, vendor offerings and market trends.
Provides and detail and aggregate information for salary surveys and regulatory reporting.
