Humans' ability to socialize with one another plays the vital role in humans' survival. It has long been known that humans could protect themselves against stronger animals, plant and grow food, improve their living situations and build societies merely with the help of each other in groups. Without our communication skills our race may have vanished ages ago. Although communication is necessary for us, whom do we choose to correspond with is even more crucial. Having a circle of significant and valuable school or office acquaintances and being liked among them is the fundamental element in education or career progress.
Have a nice attitude toward everybody and take interest in a lot of different people, is the key to the heart of many even the toughest ones. If you have a friendly approach, people will be excited to talk to you and be around you. They will share more with you, and discuss more issues with you. They will trust you more and associate themselves with you more. This way you build more relationships, and you will become acquainted with some pretty pleasant people. The more constructive relationship you build, the easier you achieve your educational or professional goals.
On the other hand, making friends and networking with the wrong crowd, will disassociate you from others. If you are not concerned with which relationship you should cultivate, you attract the wrong people. Interaction with not-the-right-one(s) will lessen the trust that people have in you. If people find out that they cannot trust you, you have no place among them. They will not even get involved with you in minor interactions. Although you can keep your wrong contacts, sooner or later you will fall. This will interfere with your school or work responsibilities, and you will lose terribly.
The more professional friendships you build, the more professional assistance you can ask for. Imagine you are a university student who commutes a long distance between school and home everyday. Also imagine one of your professors has the same route with you everyday. If you have a sociable approach and start a valuable friendship with him or her, you can get help for your problems in the same subject he or she is teaching in your school. You can also get helpful advices and guidelines from his or her experiences. By being friendly and welcoming in social situations, you will have the advantage of many opportunities for your professional goals.
Networking with professionals and qualified citizens is the key to the successful future in education or career. Bond with qualified men and women, and collaborate with skilled individuals promote good name and maximize future opportunities. Remember, be popular among popular!
