Stephen King is one of my favorite authors. He writes about contemporize horror, suspense, science fiction and fantasy books. Stephen King was born September 21, 1947 in Portland, Maine. King is known for thrills and chills. These three books also have had movies made out of them. People sometimes cannot handle his books and movies because of all the death that is in them. . Carrie, It, and The Green Mile all have horror themes and death.
Carrie was published in April 5, 1974. Carrie is about a girl who is in high school and gets bullied by her classmates and her religious mother. She finds out during the book that she has powers. Powers that is very rare in a person. Her power was telekinetic. Her mother would beat her and put her in the closet and tell her that God is punishing her for her behavior. Her mother said when she had her first period that she was sinful. This made Carrie's powers stronger. Some of the themes in Carrie are High school bullying and revenge. Carrie did not like her life, so she planned a plot. Her revenge on the school was to burn the school down and lock everyone inside. She killed everyone that has hurt her in one way or another. Moral of the story is you should treat others the way you want to be treated.
