Heart of Teacher

The video for me is very idealistic and visionary. But while pondering on it, I realized that there is so much which a teacher needs to be proud of. First, as a teacher, much is really expected of you. One can claim that he or she is the best teacher while one could only feel that she is normally the same with other teachers.

The video emphasize that the teacher's subject is always the child. A teacher could always teach a numerous subjects but, her best subject is always the child or student. Because it is only the student which can truly measure the teacher's performance intellectually and emotionally.

It also highlighted the fact that students are liked crayolas. They have different personalities and potentials. Yet, as a teacher, one can only gauge every color of the crayola in a fair and the same manner. The teacher's success lies on how she is being understood and how she understands her students . Thus, every student do have different needs.

One message is clear, a teacher should always have the heart towards what her students need. This heart can only true if the teacher has the passion towards teaching. It is not only the mental skills but the social, spiritual and emotional side as well. A teacher is a package and the student is also a package. The relationship must be treated in a reciprocal manner but the burden of making the relationship work lies in the heart of a teacher.
