Health education is the providing of health information to influence people to change their attitudes and behaviors so that they can take a possible action about their health and the health of others. It is about gaining the tooks to achieve and maintain total well being.

Health literacy is an individual's capacity to obtain, interpret, and understand basic health information to promote his/her health and wellness.

3. List the five characteristics of a healthy person.

The five characteristics of a healthy person are their mental, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

4. What is quality of life?

Quality of life is the degree of overall satisfaction that a person gets from life.

5. Explain the illness-wellness continuum.

The illness-wellness continuum is a model that illustrates the full range between illness extreme and wellness. When you are in the illness range, you aren't healthy at all. When you are in the wellness range, you are at optimum health.

6. Define self-esteem

Self-esteem is how much you like and feel good about yourself.

7. Write two strategies that build or improve self-esteem.

A strategy that will help build or improve self-esteem is to select friends who will support you and encourage you to do your best. Another strategy would be to learn something positive from bad expierences and move on.

8. Define goal

A goal is a result or aim that you strive to achieve.

9. Define risk factor.

Risk factors are actions or behaviors that represent a potential health threat.

10. List and explain the 3 categories of risk factors.

The three categories of risk factors are hereditary, environmental, and sexual.

11. What is the difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist?

The difference between a psycologist and a psychiatrist is that a psychiatrist can prescribe medicine and a psychologist cannot.
