Harvey is a play about a man that sees a 6'1 and a half-inch bunny. This mans name is Elwood P. Dowd. His sister takes him to get help and but they loose him. They finally found Elwood and take him back to give him an anecdote to cure his craziness but at the last second his sister calls it off because everyone liked him even though he was crazy and if he gets this anecdote he will be very plain. The production of Harvey proved to be enjoyable by bringing the audience into the world of the play through the strong acting, sets, and lighting.

All of the actors in Harvey did a very well job of making us believe in the story. The main actor was Elwood. He always pointed to were he saw the bunny so we always knew were it was. He made me actually believe he was crazy and saw a bunny. He played Elwood better than I would ever imagine. The only downside on his acting was he took very long to walk Harvey everywhere.

The set was very detailed and probably very expensive. It made me feel like I was in the house when they were acting. The colors were very bright and elaborate. These sets fit the play very well. I had two problems with the set though. First, it took way to long to switch sets in between scenes. Second, Harvey only had two sets which you could have had more to get more deep in the story.

The lighting helped establish the mood because it darkened when something sad was happening and bright when something exciting was happening. I could see all the actors clearly all the time and didn't ask where they were. I also liked the special effects when Harvey was walking across the floor and they lite up the floor so we knew he was there. The lights improved the production by a hole letter grade.

In the end Elwood didn't get the injection and everyone lived happily ever after. All of these elements helped the play in the biggest ways. I would give Harvey an overall grade of an A. Again The production of Harvey proved to be enjoyable by bringing the audience into the world of the play through the strong acting, sets, and lighting.
