As we all know Whole foods Market donates a portion of their proceeds to not-for-profit organizations each year along with donating food to the food pantries in their communities. Now that the unemployment rate is rising we feel that it would be good for all of our stores to get involved in this. This is our way of helping the less fortunate get the food they need to survive. We have a program where we give donations of 5% of our net profits after taxes, and where we donate food to the local food pantries for such cases. Although we have few stores that do this we feel it's time to get all of the stores involved. When we have employees get involved in volunteering for community projects Whole Foods Market supports them. This is an incentive to get the employees involved in helping their communities.

Whole Foods Market believes that no one should ever go hungry. This is why we donated the food to local food pantries. Being organic our food is better for you, therefore these people will have food that is good and without all the unnatural chemicals that are put into other foods. This helps our employees feel good about donating the food to the food pantries. You will also find that by doing this, it will improve the moral of the employees of the company. We have found that when an employee volunteers their time and effort to their community their moral improves greatly, and therefore these people enjoy their job much better because they believe in what the company is doing. We expect that by the year of 2015 to have all of our stores involved in giving to the communities they are based out of. Although the cost are limited if we all put our heads together we can work it out to where this can work. We are looking for ideas from each and every one of you so if you think of an idea please feel free to let us know so we can get to work on this and get it up and running by the end of 2015.
