Future Technologies
As long as people keep heading in the right direction the future of technology looks bright. Law enforcement agencies must work together both on state and federal levels in order to be successful. In the future it would be a great asset for departments to be able to immediately communicate with each other and be able to obtain crucial information about other investigation in process. This will save time for officers in finding anyone with warrants in other states but also find similar cases that maybe connected with each other. Technology has been improving drastically throughout the years for the criminal justice field. The new technology has helped officers to be able to communicate more effective within the department but also it can save time throughout an investigation (Stephens, 2005).
New Technology that will Further Communication
The beat down detection system is an upcoming technology system that does not exist yet but may further communication in an interrogation or an interview. This latest technology would find the heart beats inside the room to find out if the individual is panicking or stable while lying or telling the truth. This will let the detectives know how far to go with the interview or interrogation. Some scenarios can be extremely stressful and could result in the individual or the detective health problems, so this system could let a restriction to intervene. With this new futuristic technology arising, many law enforcement agencies will have to adapt rapidly by creating a more social environment at the same time, technology will permit new radical methods of communication, more improvement in technical systems, and processes that law enforcement officials will have to visualize, create, integrate, and learn (Stephens, 2005).
