Fun in the Sun
It's the weekend and you're sitting on the couch, watching TV. Looking over at your husband or wife, you notice they look awfully bored. Sometimes you and your family want to pick up and go enjoy a weekend or just a trip but you don't know where to go. For an inexpensive and fun filled vacation, you can enjoy an exquisite stay in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. To really get the most of your vacation you would need to explore Ripley's Aquarium, shop at the boardwalk and release our inner child at the Family Kingdom.
Nothing screams a vacation until you are slashing down the Log Flume, freefalling 110 feet in the Slingshot Drop Zone and hollering at the top of our lungs on the Swamp Fox Roller Coaster. You will have a never ending day at the Family Kingdom Amusement Park. The prices are very reasonable. It's an unlimited day of thrill and excitement for only $20.95 (plus tax) per adult and $18.95 (plus tax) for any child less than 40 inches. If get tired of going on roller coasters and just want to relax by a pool or get splashed with some water, just head on over to the other entrance and enjoy some wet and wild rides with the same ticket!
The boardwalk at Myrtle Beach is like no other shopping adventure out there. For a 1.2 mile long boardwalk, at every corner there is always something new to experience. The best day to spend at the boardwalk would be on a Sunday. Sunday night's feature juggling acts, acrobatics, fire shows and stilt walkers. The men performing the fire show are so close to you that you can feel the heat. If you're brave enough they just might let you participate. Sound dangerous? Don't worry; you would just have to wait to see it to believe it. Wait until you experience the numerous shops and the restaurants along the boardwalk path. The experience of the boardwalk will not be complete until you eat at Jimmy Buffet's Landshark Bar and Grill. Need I explain?
The Ripley's Aquarium made me feel so alive being surrounded by many deep sea fish from the Pacific. The colors are so vibrant and every time I turned a corner, the fish got bigger and more intriguing. You start your quest at the only fresh water exhibit which is the Rio Amazon, displaying piranhas, aruanas, and pacu. Continuing the exploration, you are then lead through the aquarium on a conveyer belt engineered through the ground to transport you all through the dangerous reef. You are soon surrounded on all sides by a 750,000-gallon tank, home to menacing 10-foot sharks. This aquarium provides an interactive, multimedia playground designed for children of all ages. Before you leave you need to stick around for the amazing dive shows and marine education sessions that are presented hourly.
If you want a rewarding, fun filled get a away that separates yourself from the normal 9 to 5 life, head on over to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Take
