I´m a Venezuelan living in the United States, and I actually decided to move because of the political situation of my country, where you are unable to be free and independent.

Freedom and independence allow people to make decisions openly even if the people around are (do) not agree with your position. In fact you are able to decide where to be and to what to do without asking someone if you can, of course following the rules and regulations where you are living.

Freedom and independence  allow people to state their position, in front of a group  even if that group do (does) not share your point of view. In some way you don´t need to worry about hurting someone`s feelings or be afraid of getting arrested, because you think differently or because you don´t support someone`s opinion or point of view.

I would also say that having security is part of having freedom and independence so once you have the first two, consequently you will get security.

I lived I felt in my own body the bad feeling of being judged by people who supported the dictatorial regimen in Venezuela, because of thinking differently. In fact I was almost got arrested by a government police, because of protesting against the bad situation we were living in there, like crimes, lack of medicines, lack of security, lack of food, lack of education and people`s rights which are annulled by the dictatorial regimen.

Freedom and independence make you feel secure, in fact you can even increase the security if you feel that way, because you have the right to

One example I could say about what Venezuelans are living now in my country is, fighting for food, because is never enough, steeling and because of that the crime had  increased 70% than before.

Some people prefer to eat at food stands or restaurants. Other people prefer to prepare and eat food at home. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answers.

Although many people enjoy eating at restaurants, my preference is to eat home-cooked meals. The main reasons is that I cook very well and is the only way to guarantee you are eating quality and healthy food. In addition is a way to save a lot of money.

To begin, I love cooking so it is a way to have fun and to spoil all the people I love. I used to cook everyday and I never make the same food, I used to look recipes in Internet from everywhere in order to have different choices and tastes in my meals.

Second, I have a health condition that leads me to eat differently. In fact I have more than a year eating in a specific way,  it`s a life`s style called  PALEO, which is a special diet that does not allow you to eat processed food and any kind of wheat or flour, since have been found highly inflammatory for your guts and stomach, making you more sensitive to get sick.

Third, is the best way to loose weight and stay healthy, since you choose the quantity of oil, salt, sugar and dressings  you will add to your food. In addition for all of them who need to know how much are  eating, It gives you the choice to weigh and measure the quantity of food you are a about to eat.

Finally, eating home-cooked meals, make me feel happy and satisfied because I don´t need to stress out thinking if what I´m going to eat is healthy cooked either if the ingredients that were used to cook were the ones I can eat. I just eat and enjoy more than someone can imagine.
