2. Supply Chain Management: Strategy, Planning and Operations by Chopra, Meindl and Kalra

3. Sales Forecasting by Tom Wallace and Bob Stahl

4. Designing and Managing the Supply Chain by David Simchi-Levi, 3rd Edition

Instructions

1. Laptops are necessary for all classes

2. Submissions must be typed and printed on both sides of A4 sized papers.

4. The marks for the case would be given for original answers that display that the group has read and discussed the case and to the extent of good references used.

5. There would be a test in every session to check if the students have read the given pre reading. If the students score in this test is below a certain score, they would be asked to leave the class.

Case questions

1. What are the major problems for Barilla? How would you solve them?

2. What is JITD? How is it different from the current way of doing business?

3. What are your comments on the relationship between Sales and Logistics? Can this be changed?

Sites like http://www.slideshare.net/himadrisingha/barilla-spa-a-case-on-supply-chain-integration and http://www.scribd.com/doc/7325445/Barilla-SpA-Case-Solution have readymade material. Uncanny inspiration and similarity of your group submission to such material will qualify you for zero and negative marks)
