Imagine a family where family is perfect. In this imagination , everyone is flawless as to emotionally happy.

Where families work together and respect one another. Now imagine there is a tremendous storm filled with lighting.

Rumbled by thunder. All of a sudden this perfect painted picture of a family becomes my family. A family shaken with

stress and overwhelming problems. Where teamwork is often forgotten or overlooked. Respect has no other meaning than a

word. My version of the perfect dream family is a commercial or just a moment in a movie. The model of an american family

is flawless. An example of a model american family would be a tv series called "Leave it to Beaver" where everyone dresses

nice and eat together different food and have tons of money and respect each other by working together as a team in

1960's. I see my version of the perfect American family relate to "Leave it to Beavor" , because its the small things that

made my life seem perfect. From a trip to the store for ice cream with my brother . Or hearing my mother and father debate

there native language terms wrong from right. Watching my family survive through its struggles fullfilled my joy and

thrill, because during most of my adolesence I refelected my familys emotions or feelings. Gary soto found a motivational

thrill and hope throught television. My brother and I did the same with a t.v series called "Full House". Full house

practiced the perfect american model family by practicing mannerism and synphathy for others and there feelings . I

wondered if their are actual families like them in real life. Comparing my family and I to them , brought resentment in

me. Gary soto quoted " i skipped down the block in search of an overgrown flower bed and the dime that would end the

right. When I'd watch full house and saw how the father overcame many struggles and maintained his family working everyday

, I experienced redemption towards my mother working 2 jobs everyday for the last 20 years in order to maintain our house

hold. although my mother wasnt anything like the father in full house i noticed
