My family, the Thai family, lives in Thailand. My family members consist of my father, mother, five sisters and me. I am the youngest member of the family and the only son. Considering my family, there are three generations, which can be, realized. The three generations, from my own point of view can be said to have achieved since each of them has been able to go through different hardships in life without giving up.

Our house was located in a great uptown neighborhood that was far from the capital city of Thailand, Bangkok. This was far from where my father grew up. We all had our own space, and were encouraged to interact with our neighbors. Our family system included a great deal of enmeshed cohesiveness something my father had never experienced during her youthful life.

I am going to analyze three people in my family who includes my father, my fifth sister, Nina and my youngest sister, Sammy. It is evident from the description that all the three family members I am going to analyze are all from a different generation. My father was born in February, 12 1941. He represents the oldest generation since he is 70 years old. My grandfather, the father of my father, and my grandmother are Chinese, but my father is a Thai. His father and mother had emigrated from China and, therefore, he has a Chinese descent. My father got engaged to my mother at the age of 24. Though, not very poor my father has had difficulties in raising all his children since he was the sole breadwinner of the family.

My father came from a large family consisting of ten members. He has one older brother and younger brothers. He is the second son of this big family. Being the second son my father had to help his father and mother to meet the daily needs of the family. For instance, he had to take care of the younger brothers when his mother was engaged in other activities. My father only went to an elementary school. He could not father his education because the large family was quite demanding and hi father and mother were not able to raise the school fees. When he dropped out of school, he was 15 years and therefore ready to be employed.

My father didn't secure formal employment instantly because of his low education and, therefore, he was forced to work with his father. His first job involved working with his father in making wooden finished furniture such as tables, chairs, doors, and windows. Through cooperation, they were able to take care of the large family. His father had some attributes to be disserved; he was very hard working and had to toil hard to make ends meet.

My father always claimed that his greatest compliment in life would be ensuring all his children got a good education and proper living there after. This was the main reason why, though, my father didn't further his education to a high level, his children advanced there education and have plans to go on furthering it.

They all worked seven days a week to ensure consistency in income generation. This can be a good reflection of his ultimate goals which included among others, proving a better lifestyle for the family. Later on my father set up another business which involved selling construction materials such as wood, aluminum, and steel at the age of 35. This business was well paying and thus the economic status of the family improved a little. My father can be considered a person who has learnt through experience, his characteristics are traditional since he focused on hierarchy when giving up roles to the mumbles of the family.

Concerning family matters, if disputes rose, as it sometimes did, my father took that responsibility of reconciliation as he was the head of the house. My father occasionally called family meetings in which every member of the Thai family was supposed to attend. Every member could raise various issues which could be settled in that meeting. As the head of the house my farther used to give orders which every child of his was supposed to follow. He always insisted in cooperation among the family members

As it is evident from my description of my family, I was the only male child. In this case as many parents would possibly do, my father was not an exceptional. He took strict measures to all my sisters especially the grown up ones. Lateness was not allowed in the family. In case any of my sisters came late at night she has to give a clear explanation of where she was.

My father's most memorable event which happened to him was when his father happened to take him to eat "shark fin soup" which was considerably expensive at that time. He did this despite the knowledge that the family was poor. My father's favorite form of entertainment was to go to the temple festival. He had to set aside some coins to make sure he attended at least once a week.

My second sister Nina, was born in April, 1971. She is 40 years old. She is the second daughter in the family. Being the second daughter she had to take the responsibility of taking care of the younger ones including myself. The most memorable moment of Nina occurred in 1981 when she was 10 years old. This is when my farther and mother took her to Hong Kong, a city she had never visited before. In fact, this was the very first time she set her foot in a plane.

My sister is very faithful and humble. She might have got these good characters from her hero who she claims to be the Prime minister of Thailand, Chuan Leekpat who is good hearted and faithful in his doings.

My sister, through the hardship of my farther and mother, got an opportunity to join Assumption University in Thailand and took an undergraduate course in BBA Finance. After graduating she got her first job with Pricewaterhousecoopers of Thailand where she was an accountant. While she was in that company she learnt a lot of experiences which gave him a good exposure when dealing with various issues. At this time her fathers business has expounded tremendously and therefore more manpower was required. At the pricewaterhousecoopers of Thailand she worked for 5 years and resigned. She later joined in my fathers company where she was a key player in its modernization. Using her knowledge and education she was able to develop new systems in the company which made the company to become very successful. In contrasts to my father's characteristics, Nina's characteristics are open to new ideas which are likely to change to new things.

Nina got married when she turned to an Asian American husband at the age of 30 years old. She met him when she was working at Pricewaterhousecoopers
