Central Idea: To persuade my audience that exercising is the best form of physical health by first explaining the history of exercise, then the basics of exercise and the unique health benefits exercise can bring.
Introduction
I. Imagine if you only ate snacks and laid down every day of your life.
II. You've been lazy your whole life and keep procrastinating that you are going to get rid of this bad habit.
III. There is a way to get rid of this habit which includes exercising.
IV. Exercise is a bodily or mental exertion or improvement of health.
V. I have started exercising because I am trying to improve my health.
VI. Today I will discuss the history of exercising, the basics of exercising, and the unique advantages of exercising.

I. The history of exercising
A. According to Lance C.Dalleck, the practice of exercise dates back to the beginning of mankind.
1. Exercise in the earlier days came from survival methods.
2. Exercise has always been important to individual's physical health.
B. The most common exercise known to history is walking.
1. Walking is a common form of exercise for anything with legs.
2. In 1817, Sir William Cubitt advanced walking by creating the treadmill.

II. The basics of exercising
A. Although various forms of exercise exist, only a few remain to be popular.
1. According to Duke University study, walking decreases depression and mood after 10 minutes of walking.
2. The department of Health Services at the University of Wisconsin says, moderate effort lap swimming burns 472 calories per hour.
B. The correct form of exercising is important to the success of the exercise.
