Esperanza Essay Changes:
Esperanza had a great life at her home with papa, mama, and her grandmother. She loved her spoiled "nothing to do" kind of life. Esperanza could be rude at times. Oh, did I mention Un-responsible? She never did a chore in her life. Esperanza was just so excited to have her 13 th birthday party the following day. She could easily afford to have a grand party. Sadly, Papa did not arrive that evening, making all worried. Tio Luis and Tio Marco came along. They "found" papa's engraved belt. They did not bring good news to the family. Esperanza hated her Tio's with passion. She even hated the way they looked. Mama did not accept the proposal from Tio Luis. In that case, Tio Luis and Marco proceeded to burn down their home. Also their vineyard. Esperanza and her mama left El Rancho De Rosas, to get work in California. Esperanza had never worked before, what a change (at least for her)! Esperanza had many qualities, which weren't the best. As mentioned: Being rude, Ire-responsible, and being rich well, I guess being rich isn't the worst thing.
On the train to the border immigration area, Esperanza had papa's doll that he gave her. A young and poor girl stood by Esperanza's side. Esperanza, giving her a dirty look turned the porcelain doll to the other side, as of herself, and remained silent. The little poop girl whined to her mother "mama, mama, mama" (but in Spanish) Esperanza looked at the little "peasant" girl. Mama did NOT like the way Esperanza was acting. So she made the peasant girl (in Esperanza's eyes) a yarn doll. Esperanza did not recognize herself as a peasant or poor. She did change through time.
