What is success? Success is something that every person in this world wants in their lives. Success is something that everyone wishes for in their lives. Rich people want success. Poor people want success. People of middle-class family, people of lower-class family, and even homeless people, all want success.

Success is something that those who have it, want more of it; and those who don't have it, crave for it. Success is something that those who have, wish for their children or loved ones to have it too. Success is something that those who don't have it and/or cannot have it, wish for their children or loved ones to achieve it.

What is the definition of success? A simple definition of success would be an accomplishment of a goal. But the definition of success varies from person to person. Success could mean one thing to one person and it could mean something very different to another. Everyone wants success in their lives in varied ways.

Success, to some people may mean to have a flourishing business and plenty of wealth. Bill Gates is one of the wealthiest men in the world. He is a co-founder of Microsoft Corporation which sells computers and consumer electronics. Bill Gates started his company from scratch and built it into a multi-billion dollar business. Today, Bill Gates is worth over $50 billion. Due to his wealth, many people consider him as one of the most successful persons in the world.

Success, to some people may mean to lead a nation, a state, or a government. Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, was considered a successful leader by many people. During his presidency, the economy of the United States was booming with success. The United States had budget surpluses after several decades. Bill Clinton is one of the few presidents who ended his term with high approval ratings.

Rick Perry, current Governor of Texas, is also considered a leader by many people. In this current state of economic depression, Texas is the only state that perhaps least affected by the economic downturn. Many people credit Governor Rick Perry for the current successful status of the state of Texas.

Sometimes, some people may achieve success easily. They did not have to go through much hardship to achieve it. Many people consider Paris Hilton as one of the successful person. Paris Hilton was born in a wealthy family. Fame and popularity has always been around her. Many people define success as achieving fame and recognition.

Some people go to any length to attain success. Sport's athletes are not born as athletes. They go through rigorous training and hardship to become successful athletes. Many people consider Lance Armstrong a successful athlete. Even after being diagnosed with life threatening cancer, Lance survived it, and attained a top position in the sport of cycling.
