Egil Krogh, Jr was the head of President Nixon Whitehouse team to take care of security leaks. They called themselves plumbers. Misguided leads led Egil Krogh, Jr to order for burglary of Doctor Fielding premises unlawfully without any warrant to search him or his property. This incident was concealed. Egil Krogh, Jr moral is in question of failing to uphold the constitution he had taken an oath as an attorney to uphold. In doing this, they infringed on Doctor Fielding right secured to him by the         Constitution.

  1. What fact seems especially powerful in shaping the court’s reasoning?

The court reasons that it cannot accept cases of lawyers abandoning the oaths they swore to uphold on basis such directives from constitutional office holders. On the contrary, the court upholds that an attorney in such a position should be against the abuse of office by his employer. Egil Krogh, Jr        forgets his oath to uphold and respect the Constitution and all laws of this land and acts to infringe the right of other citizens as if he is above the law.         Because of this fact, his disbarment is upheld.

3. What reasons does the court provide for upholding the respondent’s disbarment? The court maintains that Egil Krogh, Jr acted as person above the law and infringed and curtailed the enjoyment of a right of another American citizen. Egil Krogh, Jr        does this knowing well the laws of the land and the constitution.
