Retalix is a leading global provider of innovative software and services to high volume, high complexity retailers, including supermarkets, convenience stores, fuel stations, drugstores, department stores, and restaurant. Retalix is a point-of-sale (POS) system that uses sales channels and in-store management (including mobile and e-commerce), customer management and, marketing, merchandising, and logistics tools to improve business operation. By leveraging a multitude of deployment options, including Software-As-A-Service (SaaS), Retalix serves a large customer base of approximately 70,000 stores across more than 50 countries worldwide ("Microsoft Enterprise",2012). The world's biggest fast food chain, McDonald's, uses Microsoft Excel software to help manage their day-to-day operations. One tool that makes McDonald's the world's fastest growing franchise is the internal information software system that is implemented or designed to minimize cost and maximize profits. This software system gives them the competitive edge to manage its supply chain as well as meeting consumer demands.

Retalix

Retalix is an elevated software system which is used commonly in restaurants that can make a business more efficient and strengthen certain areas that need improvement. The Retalix also can be helpful on tracking costs and profits during any business hour that can be stored up as long as six months. Retalix is designed to analyze and forecast sales for the upcoming days or weeks, and if desired months. From daily records of information, the Retalix records it and transfers the stream of information to a back office computer. The information is tailored and input into subcategorized or categorized itemized spreadsheet. At this point, management must observe what areas are recognized as weaknesses or strengths to the operation. For example, during a business operation, a morning shift has more staff on hand during slow off peak business hours versus less staff during peak business hours. The Retalix is useful in taking random data and analyzing the info such as averages as well as costs and sales. For example the cost of making a regular hamburger that includes ingredient cost that is associated with that particular item. The Retalix can differentiate the cost of that burger versus the profit made at the point of sale.

Minimize cost of business

Anyone who is in business understands that there is fixed cost and variable cost of doing business. Another helpful tool that the Retalix system can help businesses implement is minimize the cost of doing business.
