Dutch Lady sells its product through supermarket. The products go from dairy firm directly to the supermarket and reach the end consumer. In this process, supermarket is the only intermediate for the products. It aids to decrease the transportation cost and reduce the retailing price. In the modern trade, the role of supermarket is significantly vital. Because of the high concentration of good and the variety of name recognition products, supermarkets become pleasure places for purchasing good and dairy product in specific. Among popular supermarket in Malaysia that sells Dutch Lady’s products are listed below.

                Based on the scenario, the value added to the products is higher as the products can go directly from processor by supermarket system to the end products. It is totally different if the company uses traditional method which will increase the cost and eventually the price.

 

As one of the marketing strategies, the company hires an actor as the ambassador. The actor is Aaron Aziz and his family. Another than that, it holds a contest with the tagline #memangOHSEM stories, to win variation of limited collection from the company. There is also roadshow organized by the company in April 2017.

The company gives services to end users such as providing hotline number. The number is provided in each product and customers can ask any questions or queries regarding the products and get clear information. This will help customers to verify any queries and consume the products confidently. Besides, the company educates the local to drink milk since they were young. Many advertisements have been spread relating to awareness of the importance of milk.
