Drug Trafficking In the U.S
The topic that I will be using for my research paper is Drug Trafficking in the United States. The main reason that I have chosen this topic is because it kind of touches "home" for me, I am a recovering Methamphetamine user, so this is a very important subject for me. I used drugs off and on for several years and this is a bigger problem than a lot of people want to admit. If by doing a research paper on the trafficking of methamphetamines can help with getting people to understand how big of a problem this is for the United States then I have done my job. There are many people that use the hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil to not deal with how big of a problem this really is. There are a lot of drugs that are being brought into this country and people need to see the information on how big of a deal this really is in order for anyone to do something about it. Drugs have always been a big issue in the United States but they are starting to target younger and younger people and so we need to look at the information that is out there on the drug trafficking that is happening. There is a lot of information out there on this particular subject and I want to bring a new light to the problem and show that there is a lot that can be done to help with getting this to stop or at least slow down the trafficking. I am not sure as to what I am going to argue in my research paper at this time, but it will come to me as I begin to write my paper. This is a big problem and I will do whatever I can do to help with getting this type of thing stopped.
Drug trafficking in the united states has and is devastating to the youth that we have in our country. There has been a major increase in the amount of drugs that have been traffickied into this country in the past and it is still happening today. The people in this country are taking the toll for this increase because it is effecting everything that we do, it has hurt our youth and everything else people hold dear to their hearts. The drug dealers and gang members are starting at younger and younger ages and this is ruining any chance of a decent life for the young people that are in these dangerous things. The way that it is so easy to get these low cost drugs is making it a lot easier for the younger people to get these drugs and they are all brought in by the residents of the communities all around in the United States. The youth in this country are the next generation and there is a big need for them to be protected and shown what the right path is that they need to follow. Every community in this country needs to get involved and start making changes and the best way to do that is to start with what is causing the problems and that is the drug trafficking that is going on in this country.
Dealing drugs has many risks and the risks are not very appealing. Drug trafficking is more and more dangerous everyday, there are innocent people and police that are always caught in gang wars and "turf" wars. These type of things have happened for many years and they will continue to happen and cause people to live in fear because of these types of things happening in their neighborhoods and communities. Most people are afraid to live life the way it was meant to be. This is all because of the drug trafficking that is going on everywhere, people are afraid that they will not be able to live another day and that is not how they should have to live.
The high schools are being hit hard with drugs and that is causing the drugs to be going through fast. The most common drug that is seen in the high schools is marijuana also called "pot", and something called hashish also known as "hash". There are always kids that will drop out of school and become drug dealers and they just throw their lives away for drugs. They do not think that they need an education because they are making money with dealing drugs. These kids that drop out do not care about their education or their future because they are dealing drugs and they think that they can make fast money by dealing. A lot of the kids that end up dealing drugs in the future they end up in prisons and that is some of the reason that we have an overflow of people that are in prison.
There should be more done to keep these drugs from coming into this country, there are limited resources for keeping these drugs from crossing the borders into the United States. The cartels are also coming up with new ways to transport these drugs so that they make money and can get their products out there. To get drug trafficking under control we need to try and prevent it from being started. What is meant by this, is that we need to come up with some new ways of trying to track it when people are crossing the borders. We have all this expensive stuff that is in the airports so why not come up with something like that for the borders so that we can get a better control on what is crossing the borders into the United States. There are a lot of people in this country that think that we will never get rid of drug trafficking, but we should at least try to reduce the flow of drugs that are coming into the communities around this country.
Most people think that the reason that drugs are such a big problem is because they cause a lot more crimes to happen. When people are high they only think about where their next high is going to come from so when this happens they steal or rob someone to get what they are after and that is a high. Illegal drugs are related to more than half of the crimes that get commited in this country. In order to get any where with the war on drugs the government needs to worry about where the highest volume of drugs is coming from and what part of our borders are they being brought across. Once they figure this information out then they need to try and protect those high traffick areas of the borders a little more. This will protect the communities in our country from having
