alcohol- first few drinks stimulates and enlivin while lowering anxeity and inhibiting; higher doses suddective effect, slowing reaction time, imparing motor control and perceptual abilty.
barbiturates-promotes sleep, have calming and suddictive effect, decreases muscular tension, impare coodernation and reflexs.
tranquilizer-lower aniety, have calming and seductive effect, decrease muscular tension
narcotics-relieves pain; produce paralysis of intentines.
Stimulants
amphetamines- increase metabolism and alertness; elevate mood, cause wakefulness, suppress appetite.
cocaine-brings on euphoric mood, energy boost, feeling excitment, suppressed appetite.
cafffeine-produces wakefulness and alertness, increases metebolism but slows reaction time.
tobacco-effects range from alertness and calmness; lowers appetite for carbohydrates; increases pulse rate and other metoblic processes.
hallucingens
marjiuana- generally produces euphoria, relaxtion, affects ability to store new memories
LSD-produces excited exhilaration, hallucinations, expericences percieved as insightful and profound.
MDMA-typically produces euphoria and feeling of understanding others and accpeting them; lowers inner inhibitions; oftens cause over heating, dehydration, nausea, can cause jaw clenching, eye twitching, and dizzyfulness.
and what we learn from this is that drugs can cause major effects some short term some long term or even death. what we learn is that drugs are bad and you shouldnt do them. and healthy body and mind is a good road to a good life style and long life. the effects can cause heart ache for family memebers who try to help there loved ones. and many people cant afford treatment others are drawn to do drugs becuase they have suffered from something bad. but many need help becuase drugs are just bad ok? so dont do them!
